Enrolment is available from 2025.07.28 (Mon) to 08.18 (Mon) on internet. 

$2,800 for four sessions (No make-up class or refund for absence)

  • Each session runs for about 2 hours 30 minutes. 
    • In Cantonese.
    • There is a quota of 10 participants. Selection will be based on the applicants' background, experience, and reasons for enrolment. The admission results together with payment method will be notified individually before the end of August.

    This workshop aims to help participants understand and master various modes of playwriting, particularly in the context of digital narratives and theatre. Guided by award-winning playwright Yan Pat To, participants will learn how to create compelling stories for contemporary theater and digital platforms.


    Workshop Components

    • Playwriting Fundamentals:
      Lecture by Yan Pat To on the basic principles of playwriting.
    • Interactive Exercises:
      Group discussions on different modes of playwriting (linear narratives, nonlinear narratives, interactive narratives).
    • Case Studies:
      Analysis of successful digital stories and theatrical works.
    • Creative Workshop:
      Participants will create a short script based on the learned modes.
    • Instructor Feedback:
      Yan Pat To will provide individualized guidance, suggestions, and areas for improvement.
    • Sharing Session:
      Participants will present their works and engage in peer evaluations.

    Expected Outcomes

    • Participants will master various playwriting modes and apply them to digital narratives and theatrical works.
    • Completion of a short script with professional feedback.
