Community Mindfulness & Arts Workshops

The inspiration behind Passage of Abundance stems from the artist’s contemplative encounters with nature—moments of quiet resonance discovered through mindfulness and spiritual exploration. He describes these experiences as "magical moments"—not grand spectacles, but subtle beauties that have always surrounded us, waiting to be noticed in a state of flow.

Rather than simply presenting a finished artwork, the artist hopes to guide audiences through a personal journey of creation. Through a series of mindful art workshops, guest facilitators will lead participants in exploring natural elements using various meditative art practices. Each participant will be invited to uncover their own "magical moments" and transform these discoveries into unique artistic expressions.

2025.11.08 (Sat) 2:30pm - Listen! The Stone Speaks __

Though seemingly still and silent, stones carry ancient voices from the Earth—whispers of wisdom and timeless messages. In this meditative workshop guided by natural music, participants will engage in dialogue and co-creation with stones, feeling their rhythm and strength while allowing sound to carry personal stories and intentions.

Host & Sharing: Desmond Leung
Facilitator: HakGwai Lau (Music Educator)

2025.11.09 (Sun) 2:30pm -  Discovering the Tree at the Corner __

Even in the bustling streets of Hong Kong, a quiet tree often stands watch at the corner. Have we ever truly paused to see it? This workshop invites participants to observe trees from a fresh perspective, connect mindfully with their presence, and listen to their wisdom. Through tree ring art, each person will reflect and carve their own life story and inspiration.

Host & Sharing: Desmond Leung
Facilitator: Rosanna Lou (Expressive Arts Therapist)

2025.12.13 (Sat) 2:30pm - Encountering Light and Shadow __

Through interactive light installations, mindfulness, and artistic exploration, participants will play with light and shadow—seeking the "gifts" hidden within. These discoveries will be transformed into personal light-shadow artworks, offering a keepsake of inner reflection and wonder.

Host & Sharing: Desmond Leung
Facilitator: Lai Ka-kit (Master’s-level Lecturer & Supervisor in Expressive Arts Therapy)

2024.12.14 (Sun) 2:30pm - Flowing Like Water __

Observe the movement of water and light, and let your body respond in rhythm—experiencing the fluidity, resilience, and freedom of water. This workshop invites participants to tune into subtle shifts in body and mind, allowing sensations to surface and flow anew, eventually transforming into a personal movement expression.

Host & Sharing: Desmond Leung
Facilitator: Fiona Lo (Arts Educator)
