Conceived by multi-disciplinary artist GayBird, this site-specific performance is an artistic research experiment which challenges the notion of performance in the digital age and exploring immersion as a spectrum, by bringing together virtual game environments, mediated soundwalk, immersive sound, moving images and human behaviour.
EKCC’s public spaces are transformed into a stage – every movement in the crowd, and ambient sounds become dramaturgy, generating a new narrative and soundscape. As media intervene, the physical performance venue dissolves into virtuality, inviting the audience to reflect on how daily life is reshaped under ongoing technological advancement and how humanity keeps up with this evolution.
