Like death, the mystery of a black hole remains impenetrable. After exploring birth and life, the Italian artistic studio fuse* unveils the final chapter of its decade-long “Full Circle Trilogy” — Sál (Soul), a work of profound intensity. In Sál, the focus shifts to the horizon, to the boundary of human life, embracing the notion that everything is in a state of constant transformation, that everything is impermanent.
Developed through a two-year research collaboration with university professors, this live media performance simulates the instability around black holes using supercomputers, immersing two dancers in a cosmic world where journeys unfold into the unknown. Dancers interact with visually stunning lights and shadows in real time, along with acoustic and electronic music, conveying the ever-changing emotions of life. When arts meet technology, this fascinating dance performance shifts your perspective on life.

Founded in 2007, fuse* is an artistic studio dedicated to exploring the creative potential of contemporary technologies and their profound influence on how we live, think, and connect with the world. Inspired by the observation of social and natural phenomena and fueled by scientific discoveries and research, fuse*’s works evolve through collaborations with specialists and research centres, integrating advanced knowledge and diverse ways of thinking. Known for large-scale installations and live performances, the studio constantly experiments with new relationships between the physical, digital, natural, and artificial, exploring a wide range of artistic media, including sculpture, print, video, light, and sound. In recent years, fuse* has been invited to participate in renowned international art festivals and institutions, including MUTEK in Montréal, TodaysArt in The Hague, Sónar in Istanbul, KIKK in Namur, and Artechouse in New York.
