Join this exhibition co-created by residents, youth and the artist team to listen the rhythm of East Kowloon.
Woven Pulse is far more than a static display but a living and breathing artwork that grows with time. The journey begins at the entrance with “Chromatic Pulse”, where the heartbeat is translated into a spectrum of emotions, making your presence part of the creation. Through co-weaving of “One Square, One Soul”, each heartbeat and story are transformed into tangible and colourful woven square. These squares will be installed to the centrepiece, “The Sound of Touch”, a growing woven wall integrated with interactive sensor technology which enables you to listen to the city's flow. As you approach “The Light of Presence”, it changes its brightness and colours accordingly, echoing the idea of human presence breathing life into art. In “En-vision”, tapping your mobile phone against the pupil will connect you instantly to the EKCC’s exhibition details, artist interviews, and the community stories behind every patch on the tapestry. The eye is the window to our heart, which is why this imagery is featured in our centrepiece on 1/F, “The Sound of Touch”. Allowing the public to envisage the interplay between art and everyday life.
As the touch of your fingertips resonates with the city’s whispers, join us in crafting our collective communal memories together.
