A Hub for Research and Development
Fostering Collaboration and Networking

On top of that, we strive to connect with Arts Tech practitioners worldwide to facilitate the exchanges of experiences and expertise through exciting collaborative projects. Networking with practitioners in other regions ensures that the EKCC remains at the international forefront of Arts Tech development, abreast of emerging trends and opportunities.
EKCC Academy for Arts Tech
To nurture talents for supporting Arts Tech productions, we have established the EKCC Academy for Arts Tech (Academy) in 2022. This initiative aims to provide capacity building programmes on various Arts Tech subjects, including but not limited to short-term courses and attachment opportunities, to aid the sustainable development of Arts Tech in Hong Kong.
Besides the short-term training programmes for artists, technology professionals, students/graduates of tertiary institutions and other stakeholders, the Academy has also launched a 24-month Arts Tech Trainee Programme in 2024. Through the provision of a more focused training arrangement, the trainees will become part of the creative workforce and be able to deliver more unprecedented experiences to audience in Hong Kong.
“Arts Tech Trainee” Programme

The EKCC Academy for Arts Tech has launched the 24-month “Arts Tech Trainee” Programme in 2024, aiming to recruit students and graduates from relevant disciplines in tertiary institutions, as well as individuals aspiring to pursue a career in arts technology production. The programme offers targeted training and internship opportunities, enabling trainees to participate closely in arts technology productions, deepen their understanding of technology applications, and gain first-hand experience in the planning and execution of such programmes through collaboration with artists and technology professionals.
The first cohort of six Arts Tech Trainees completed the programme in early 2026. Under the professional guidance of artistic and technical advisors, they jointly curated and produced a finale showcase with a total of 60 sessions — the immersive interactive experience “Just Kid-ing”, which was also one of the programmes of the EKCC Opening Season.
The second intake of the “Arts Tech Trainee” Programme is now open for applications. Interested individuals are encouraged to seize this opportunity. For details, please visit here.
